Something new!

It may seem like I am making a big deal out of TacCom's new car, but if you could have seen what he was forced to drive for the past two years...you would understand how thrilled we all are that he is now able to enjoy his new JEEP! (and for those of you who don't already know or can't remember, a JEEP CHEROKEE, was one of the reasons my family were not seriously hurt in a rollover two years ago...and of course the angels that were totally surrounding the car...Feels good to be back in a JEEP again!)

So, now enjoy our little movie...

Unavoidable

In order to get this:

This:

And this:

This is inevitable:

It's hard to believe that all these bags (and more that wouldn't fit in the pic)came from the three rooms shown! What a lot of junk we have! (or had)

After one more closet, this will conclude our cleaning out for the year.

A lovely shade of green...

Having a fish pond is fun, but the job of cleaning it out is tough! However, today I discovered a new way to empty it out. (because, I have to empty the entire thing out and scrub out the algae that has grown) I got out the wet/dry vac and used it to suck out the water! Of course, the bucket of the vac only holds about a gallon and a half of water, so it took me about 6 times filling and emptying it into the woods, which is very tedious!
Now my hands are green and fishy. Yuck. But I know it is the thing to do! I mean, how would you like it if you were an innocent little goldfish, swimming happily in your own five gallon tank, with your four brothers...in your own and their poop?! Ewww! Not pleasant!

Got to go order my curriculum...and clean the green out from under my nails...Happy Saturday, All!

Heavy Piano

Not the greatest piece of music, quality of sound/video, or talent: but this is just how I am feeling lately. Just heavy. (and one of the smaller reasons is the view out the window!)

p.s. If you listen closely, you can barely hear Hawkeye complaining in the background, "Please stop that infernal noise!", says He!

Because I happen to miss the cold weather....

Okay, I don't exactly MISS the cold weather and snow, I just don't like the humidity we have been having. So, I will leave the wintery picture on my title for a bit of relief and reminder for everyone who is suffering with this latest weather pattern. YUCK!

Here are a few of my favorite words out of my (insert adjective of choice) mind:

cozy
apple
baby
freedom
friendship
Christmas
party
joyous
s'more
gaseous anomaly
strudel
crumble
crisp
beehive
Finkle

Merry Monday!

Predictable....

I just realized that I used the word "Dude" in two of my recent post titles....interesting. What does that say about me? PREDICTABLE!

Focus, Dude....

It's too early. (8:29am...?) I'm too tired to post...so, here are a couple of pictures to keep your attention:

Pictorial History

Summer Rainbow

A rare occasion: Wynne in a dress

All I ask is a place to rest my weary head:

What's it like to have sisters surround you?

Pretty fun most of the time!

I guess it was high time for me to post something...I just haven't had much to say, so I took to easy way out...pictures!

Change is GOOD.....

It was a pretty color, but the cabinets just melted into the wall...not what I had planned. A drastic change was called for...

It was the scariest decorating project I have ever attempted. Painting my wood cabinets....Anything could go wrong!

All the doors and drawer fronts had to come off, then I primed everything, etc....

The end result was...pleasing, to say the least!

Wish I could show you all in person...these pictures don't do it justice...

My advice in the "scary decorating" department: Have confidence in what you love. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
Next on the list: A new countertop (check it out HERE) and sink...

p.s. I had to add this pic of Pippin...he is THE cutest cat on the planet! (Dontcha just love his freckle?) I hope Emma doesn't read my blog...she may be offended...she's cute, too...for a girl cat.
