"What I did this Wednesday" or "A Wicked Boring Post"

Today, I had planned to sleep late. On purpose. I have gotten up so early and have slept badly in the past week, so I decided to try to stay in bed this morning. Unfortunately, Bella, woke me up because she had to go "out". Oh well...there's always tomorrow!

So, I got up. I made banana muffins because my kids love them. (okay, I love them too!)

After breakfast, coffee in hand, I started lessons with Olivia, Paul and Wynne. Altogether, we covered algebra, percentages, and missing addends. Also, Byzantine history, adjectives and rhyming words. (in order of children's ages) Thanks to Melody, Olivia and I gained more confidence in our knowledge of math. (Yes, Mel knows more algebra than me...oh well!)

Children sitting and doing their seatwork, I went up to shower. (Confession: it was now 10:30am)

This is pretty boring. I will switch to list form to make it easier to read:

~wrote out bills
~dropped off TacCom's Commander for an oil change
~went grocery shopping

At this point of the post, I would like to tell you about a new experience I had with my Black Capped Conure, Hawkeye. She has been very bored lately and started to pick at her feathers. Not a good thing. So, I have been taking her out to interact with the family more. This afternoon, I had a few minutes, so I had her out with me and I played with her and a towel. She LOVED getting wrapped in the towel and having me turn her on her back...then flip her over and swing her in the towel like a hammock...it sounds wild, but she LOVED it!! Don't get the wrong picture here, I was VERY gentle. She had a blast!

Dinnertime was fast approaching. I put Hawkeye back in her cage and started dinner:

~Ginger Teriaki grilled Salmon
~Asian stir fry veg with sesame ginger rice.
YUM.

After dinner, I went out and planted some of my annuals. (Snapdragons...) And I planted some Johnny jump-ups along the front walkway. I know they are invasive, but the girls love them...

Are you still with me? I know this has been very boring, so I will now post some beautiful pictures of my kids...I have these amature shots framed and hanging in my bedroom...I love them.
